Greenville Park happenings:  This Friday July 25th, the new play ground equipment will be open to the public.  Also the movies in the park begin this Friday at 9pm.  Come join us in this family fun event!  Bring your blankets and spread them out near the gazebo. We will be playing the Bee Movie and have popcorn, cotton candy and water for a $1.00.  All proceeds goes for enhancing the park with more picnic tables and benches for around the play structure.  Oregon First Community Credit Union is sponsoring this months movie.  If you interested in sponsoring next months movie, Friday August 29th, please contact Christy Greagor - cgreagor@comcast.net
Wait, there is more! The evening of August 5th is known as the "National Night Out" and the City of Banks will be celebrating this event with the residences.  The Mayor of Banks will be on hand at 7pm to cut the ribbon dedicating the new play structure. The Kai's Lava Java opened offically today (7/16/08) and the Chamber Ambassadors offically welcomed the new business as well.  They will be open from 6am to 6pm serving coffee and homemade Hawaiian sandwiches. You can bring your labtop computer with you and have coffee and utilize their Wi-Fi network. They have created a Board Room area for your pleasure in working the Wi-Fi network. The Chamber needs more vendors for the Monday Farmers Market being held at the Boy Scout Cabin park. Markets are summer outings and Mondays will be in Banks, Tuesday in Hillsboro and Wednesday in Forest Grove.
We had a very productive Monday, July 21th, with three big big vendors and many people stopping in for berries, Beefsteak Jerky and Lavender, etc.  Come one, come all the Log Cabin Park is the place on Mondays.

Elements Cafe, on Hwy 47 in Manning by the Dairy Queen, have their summer hours up and running. Hours Sunday 8am - 2pm, Mon. thru Thurs. 6am - 2pm, Friday/Sat. 6am - 9pm. Information was provided today (6/20/08) that Elements will begin delivery of lunches to Businesses in Banks. Delivery is Monday - Friday 11am to 2pm.
